This is an earlier translation of the concept of duality found in the series “Pages of A Union”.
In this case, I combined two single photographs to form a single unit as in a diptych, but as a “closed circle” that does not have the usual space found in between the two images in a typical diptych, since no separation exists within here.

It’s a continuous loop between the two cultures that’s always evolving, just as the host and the immigrant’s culture is constantly evolving within the first generation immigrant, even when one may not be aware of it.

Each single photographs combined to form these units was created as a single shot done in camera and on location.
